TERMS & CONDITIONS – 2 Year Membership Advance Plan
Effective Date: 20 August 2025
1. Definitions
- “Network” means [Insert Legal Name of the International Business Network].
- “Member” means the company or sole proprietor that has purchased the 3 Year Membership Advance Plan.
- “Plan” means the prepaid 3-year membership option with a 5% discount and a no-fee-increase guarantee.
- “Base Membership Fee” means the annual membership fee applicable to the Member’s category, exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes, excluding event tickets, sponsorship packages, premium services, or other add-ons.
2. Eligibility
This Plan is available to new and existing Members of the Network globally. Memberships are tied to the company, except for sole proprietors, where they are tied to the individual.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 The total 2-year membership fee is calculated as:
- Two (2) times the Base Membership Fee at the rate applicable on the date of purchase,
- No annual increase of membership (normally 15%) applied.
- Exclusive of VAT or applicable taxes.
3.2 Payment is due in full upfront at the start of the Plan term.
3.3 Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card, or online payment gateways.
4. Currency
4.1 For Members based in Africa, fees are payable in South African Rand (ZAR).
4.2 For Members based outside of Africa, fees are payable in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) or South African Rand (ZAR).
5. Fee Increases
The standard annual membership fee increase of 15% per annum will be waived for Members enrolled in the Plan for the full 2-year term.
6. Scope of Membership
6.1 Membership under this Plan is global and grants access to all Network regions/chapters.
6.2 The Network reserves the right to modify, change, or withdraw membership benefits, services, events, or resources at any time without obligation to maintain the scope offered at the start of the Plan.
6.3 Travel, accommodation, and related expenses for in-person events are not included in the membership fee.
7. Non-Refundability & Exceptions
7.1 All fees paid under this Plan are non-refundable.
7.2 Refunds will only be considered in exceptional cases, including:
- Death of the sole proprietor, or
- Permanent closure of the Member’s business.
7.3 No refunds will be granted in the event the Network ceases operations or materially changes its business model.
8. Transfer of Membership
8.1 Membership may be transferred to another legal entity if the Member company undergoes a change in ownership.
8.2 Sole proprietor memberships are non-transferable.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
9.1 The Network reserves the right to choose the governing law and jurisdiction for any disputes.
9.2 Disputes must first be referred to mediation or arbitration before court proceedings may be initiated.
10. Data Protection & Privacy
10.1 The Network will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant.
10.2 Personal data will be collected, stored, and processed solely for the purposes of administering membership and delivering services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Network shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from participation in the Plan.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing the 3 Year Membership Advance Plan, the Member acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
